Julian Luna was born in 1830 in New Orleans. In 1849, he followed the gold rush to California and settled in mining country, in California's Sierra Nevada Mountains.

In 1856 he married. His wife died in the birth of their son, John, that same year. Julian was 26 years old. Unable to live with the grief, Julian was embraced by Archon soon after.

Though Julian's tombstone states that he died in 1899, he lives on as a member of the Kindred.
