SOME TOUR '95, INFO.

After the release of the debut album "It's five o'clock somewhere", Slash & Co. went on a worldtour. But the line-up on this tour wasn't the same as the album line-up. Matt Sorum (drums) was compensated by Brian Tichy, and instead of the Alice In Chains bassist Mike Inez, bassist James Lomenzo joined the band. But why wasn't Sorum and Inez with 'em? According to Slash, Matt Sorum had to stay with Guns N' Roses. GN'R was supposed to keep working (on a new album) while Slash was touring with the Snakepit. Matt was supposed to help keep that foundation for them to jam. (Anyway, Matt could have joined Slash's Snakepit on the tour, since GN'R only jammed like twice when Slash was gone, so no one had really been doing anything) Mike Inez did probably have to stay with his band, Alice In Chains (my guess).

The Tour kicked off in Memphis at "Six One Six Club" on March 31st and was actually supposed to end in June, but Slash thought it was so much fun that he kept adding gigs, so the last gig was held on Aug 25th at Mosters Of Rock in Donington in England. During the World Tour Slash's Snakepit played with some other famous bands. In San Jose and Sacramento (CA, USA, May 14th -15th) with Van Halen. On the Langdraf Pinkpop Festival in Maastricht (Holland June 5th), Weezer and Live were there. In Stockholm (Sweden, July 4th) Snakepit and Ugly Kid Joe opened the show for Bon Jovi. And on Monters Of Rock -Donington (England Aug. 25th) together with Metallica, Skid Row and and some other bands. The Donington Festival was shown on MTV at the program "Headbangers' Ball". They showed a couple of songs with the Snakepit.
