Here are a couple items of interest that came up in a conversation with Slash. The GN'R live album is done. Slash was working on the artwork the other day, but the selection and mixing are completed. He did not have a release date for us, but he thinks we'll like it. We're like someone crawling across the desert seeing an oasis! We love it already. The next thing we asked about (again) was Slash dumping Snakepit and working for Axl in the new, unimproved GN'R. As long as Axl is without a guitar player, the rumors are going to fly about who will be the new lead guitarist in the new GN'R. Slash, Brian May, Jimmy Page have been mentioned. Slash's manager says he doesn't care who says it, if they think Slash is going back to GN'R, they are smoking crack! Slash is doing his own album with his own band, and that's his focus. And some final news from the Slash camp for this week... Ryan Roxie left town to go on a 7-week tour with Alice Cooper. Ryan's guitar work on the Snakepit album is completed. We asked Slash... don't you have to work together? He said there is not enough room in the studio for both of them. He discussed things about amps and channels and immediately lost us although we said "I see" intelligently. What remains to be done is for Slash and Rod to finish their Snakepit parts along with some other things. When the album is done, the record label gives it a slot where they think it can do well and receive support from the label. The only slots right now are end of December and then January. So that World Tour is coming - just not quite as fast as we hoped! Source: Slash's Homepage [http://www.snakepit.org/]
