With Axl Rose off trying to get anyone to play with him these days, his former bandmates -- Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan, and Slash -- found themselves recording together once again. "We did a few tracks up at Duff's house," Stradlin tells allstar correspondent Murray Engleheart. "We're just kind of messing around, really, and Taz [Bentley, who plays drums on Stradlin's new album 117 °] came up from Texas and he had a couple of song ideas that were really cool, real heavy rock stuff, so we did his stuff. Then Slash came up and played on it. I haven't heard the tapes yet, but Duff said it sounded really good. Slash did his stuff after I'd already left. So we still goof around." source: Rocktropolis
