Woo-Hoo! The long, long, long-awaited new Guns
N' Roses album is done. Well, everything but the vocals, that is. Many
little birdies tell us that the music is completed, but that Axl Rose
has yet to slap his vocals on the material. (Huh, I guess eight years wasn't
long enough to come up with lyrics?) And, it looks like that might not
be done too soon either, since Rose is in the process of putting together
that much-talked about live album -- featuring the old lineup, of course.
He's even given his new bandmates (for those losing track, that would be
Tommy Stinson (bass, ex-Replacements), Robin Finck
(guitar, ex-Nine Inch Nails), Josh Freese (drums, ex/current
anyone paying), Dizzy Reed (keyboards, ex-Guns N' Roses,
oh wait...), and Paul Huge (guitar, Rose's buddy) the month of July
off, which is when work on the live disc is supposed to be done. Source: Rocktropolis
