As you probably know, BMRT has recently been ported to the Windows operating system. Here is a few things you should have in mind when using Rhino3d as your RIB-generator:
In the BMRT distribution you will find an application called rendrib. With this application you'll render your RIB-files using a raytracing algorithm which will give you raytraced shadows, transparencies as well as refractions. BMRT can also do radiosity, are alights and volumetric lights just to mention a few other cool things other renderers just can't do.
Since Rhino is a NURB modeler and rendrib renders NURBS directly, your rendered geometry will most likely come out very smooth without any visible faceting. This is one feature I find very useful when using Rhino and BMRT together since I'm doing a lot of organic modeling.
