The goals for and against in the overall table add up but are obviously wrong unless Nacional B forfeited games and escaped those without conceding a goal. 1907: Nacional B withdrew/were expelled after having left w.o.'s in their last three matches. 1907: One game was left unplayed. 1908: One game was left unplayed. 1908: Intrépido pulled out after 13 games, C.U.R.C.C. after 10 and Nacional after the 14th game. Apparently, they only had losses added to their totals but no goals conceded. 1912: Dublin left the tournament after 10 games. What the criteria was is unknown. 1939: As the top two teams ended on equal points a playoff was necessary. Nacional vs. Peñarol 3-2 is counted in the table. 1944: As the top two teams ended on equal points a playoff was necessary.
