When it was published the "Longest Day" by Avalon Hill was touted as a gamy setting new and better standards of research. Particularly it was said to portray a very accurate OB for the German units. If this is true one has to wonder about research in previous games.
Much of the initial set up is presented directly on the map and this section will cover the errors presented on the map set up in Longest Day. It is also recommended that the visitor goes to the map section on this site for further information.
