Festungs-Stamm-Truppen

Some of the more important cities had permanent garrisons to man the prepared defences. These were called Festungs-Stamm-Truppen The following cities had such units¹:

Cherbourg	1355 men
Dinard	900 men
Lorient	953 men
Plouhinec	172 men
Ause de Pouldu	395 men
Brest	2001 men
St. Nazaire	761 men
St. Michel	109 men
Vannes	305 men
Guerrance	501 men

Of these Cherbourg was located in the area of 84. Korps, while Dinard was within the area of 74. Korps. The remining cities were in the area of 25. Korps.
