Hi! My name is Jerry and I have done this homepage with some pictures of my hometown Stockholm. Stockholm is by the way the Capitol city of Sweden. I work here as a security guard and my work takes me all around this beautiful city. I'm about to turn around the corner to be 30 years young. I've been working as a security guard for about 10 years now so the sights and stories about the city are quite many now.
Stockholm - It is an old city; the Vikings founded it about 1000 years ago. Sweden has a very bloody history during the era from the vikings with their journeys abroad killing and plundering the villages to the time of the middle age. During the middle age Sweden was a strong nation with many wars and a lot of different kings holding the throne. Stockholm it self has a very bloody history during the middle age. There is a town square in the old town (Gamla Stan) there the Stockholm bloodbath took place. There are many great stories about both Stockholm and Sweden but that is to much to write in homepage. Maybe later on. Some facts about Stockholm: The whole city of Stockholm today is built on several islands but the main city is divided in 6 parts: Gamla Stan (old town), Soedermalm, Norrmalm, Kungsholmen, Oestermalm and Djurgarden. There are more parts and names but they are more or less smaller parts of these 6. The first 4 pictures are taken from Soedermalm facing north on the old city going east over Ostermalm and Djurgarden.

Picture no.1:This is showing the Old city, which the castle is built on but it’s hard to see it. Right behind the left white coloured boat is a grey building, that is the front of the castle. The harbour below me is one of the bigger ones.

Picture no.2:This is one of the smaller city islands called Skeppsholmen. In the old days the navy housed on this island.

Picture no.3:This is part of Djurgarden where the city zoo and the entertainment park are placed and the rest of the area is mainly a big park.

Picture no.4:This is the 2nd part of Djurgarden. I took these pictures in the morning so I had the sun directly in my eyes. I tried to fit these 4 pictures together so it would be easier to see the whole area but I failed to success.
